Strawberries

Update on the strawberry hat: it is lovely! I'm sure there's a better way to change colours than stranding (is that what it's called? when you just leave it in behind?) but this is super easy. I basically got it almost all done on the bus ride to London, then got as far up with the decrease as I could with my circular needles on the car ride back to Ottawa. I think I'll put some little knots of black in the pink, for seeds.

Brad wouldn't let me knit while waiting for people to come over on Saturday, since, well, sitting drinking tea and knitting would be a /bit/ old-person-esque. BUT then at least three other people who came by were into knitting, so whatever, boyfriend. Whatever.

Anyway. The hat is currently sitting on my dresser waiting sadly for the day when I get some DPN's with which to finish it. Gotta get a hold of Nana, I'm sure she has some I can borrow. And then I can move on to the next one! And then I will make a camera cozy for Brad because he is good at breaking things. I'd make him a coffee mug cozy too, but he totally wouldn't use it.

  2. Tell Brad that women doing hand work is hot! What happened to evolution anyways? LOL Actually most people I've met are impressed and look at you as a magical sorceress (may not be a word) when they find out you can turn string into thing. BTW my aunt just gave me a pattern for a apple protector thought you backpacker might be interested, I can email it to u if you'd like.
